ご注意：イリノイ州のEmission TestとLicense Sticker更新の通知が郵便で来なくなります
すでにご存じの方もいらっしゃるかと思いますが、いつも交通安全セミナーの講師をしてくださる当会会員深井吉郎先生から会員の皆様へのリマインダーです。
１．Emission Test
ご存じの通りイリノイ州では自動車排気汚染予防法（Emission Test）により2年毎にテストを受ける義務があります（但し5年以下の新車と1996年以前の車は対象外）。
今年は1996年〜2012年の車が対象です。
昨年までは更新通知が郵便で来ていましたがこれからは通知が来ません。
このEmission Testを受けていないと、毎年貼り替えるナンバープレートの右上のステッカーがもらえません。ステッカーの期限が過ぎているにもかかわらず古いステッカーのままでいると罰金をとられます。会員の方で捕まった方がいます。イリノイ州からEmailで更新通知を貰いたい方はwww.ilsos.gov/greenmail に登録下さい。
登録方法：
１．www.ilsos.gov/greenmail をクリックしてRegistration IDとPIN番号を入れて始めてください。
Paperless License Plates Renewal Notices is the convenient and secure way for Illinois motorists to go green and receive their notice by e-mail. To receive your license plates renewal by e-mail, enter your Registration ID and PIN located on your current registration card. If you do not have a current registration card, please call the Public Inquiry Division at 800-252-8980 to obtain your Registration ID and PIN number.
Registration IDとPIN No.は、Illinois Registration Identification Cardに記載されています。
２．License Sticker
州予算の不足により、
毎年州から郵送で来る自動車のライセンスープレートのスティッカー更新通知が廃止になりました。州からの更新通知がなくなるため期限が切れる前に各個人で更改スティッカーを購入しなければなりません。
ライセンスプレートの毎年更新されるスティッカーの事前連絡をもらいたい方はE-Mail通知の事前登録をしてください。
"Due to the lack of a state budget, the Secretary of State's office is suspending the mailing of vehicle registration renewal reminder notices. By suspending this service, which will save approximately
$450,000 per month, the office will be able to prolong the ability to mail vehicle registration renewal stickers, titles and license plates to vehicle owners for few months longer before the postage account is depleted. Vehicle owners are encouraged to be mindful of their vehicle registration status. Motorists can sign up to receive reminder notices electronically by email."
Stickerの更新はオンラインで可能です。更改の留意点は以下の通りです。
１．各個人は期間切れ１ヶ月前に更新すること。
２．現在お持ちの郵送されてきたRegistration Identification Cardに記載のRegistration ID とPIN No.が必要です。お持ちでない方は800-252-8980に電話して取得して下さい。
３．更新する車の保険会社名並びに保険証書番号が必要です。
４．Driver's License事務所でも更新可能です。
更新方法
www.cyberdriveillinois.com のサイトから”license Plate Renewal “ をクリックして、Registration IDとPIN No.を入力する。Registration IDとPIN No.は上記Registration Identification Cardに記載されています。自動的に申し込みされます。その際支払方法はCheckかCredit Card払いにする。申し込み書類を省略できます。
支払い方法
Electronic Check, Credit Card Only（所定のProcess Feeがかかります）
